Based on stringent principals of sustainability, the design celebrates the undulations on a parcel 40 acre land. This is a prototype villa for the remaining to be built as a part of this second home scheme. The design incorporates existing ground levels and contours where as materials and articulation is derived from the site. A gentle stepping series of platforms work their way from the top to the bottom of the site covering a 9 meter change in level. The Gable roof makes this design intriguing as the Gable roof maintains the same level through the site and the contours as you step down increases the volume of the spaces within.
